Job Purpose: 

AHS is seeking a Senior Director of Marketing and Business Development to develop, launch, and track marketing and business development campaigns to promote AHS nationally, and to monitor established leading indicators that we feel guarantee success. The Senior Director of Marketing & Business Development is responsible for developing and leading strategic relationships with AHS’s Customers and Business Partners, including co-branding & marketing events to position AHS as a best-in-class integrator of products and services. One of the primary roles is developing AHS’s core customer base and identifying new markets to attract customers, prospects, and potential business partners, to promote their products, services, and AHS’s solutions to strengthen relationships. The Senior Director will further develop AHS’s trade show involvement, lead generation and tracking, and be responsible for lead conversion ratios to align with AHS’s growth strategies. The Senior Director will connect with the Executive team to understand long term goals and objectives, align, and be responsible for working with their peers, lead their teams, encourage, and support all of AHS to work together to achieve stated goals and objectives.  

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Represent AHS as a leading integrator within our space. 

  • Build, maintain, and strengthen our relationships with AHS’s customers & business partners. 

  • Locate and convert leads to meet or exceed booking quotas. 

  • Develop peer to peer relationships and branding & co-branding initiatives 

  • Execute on periodic business review (PBR) feedback to be best in class. 

  • Identify and implement strategic initiatives that push AHS to be an “out in front” leader of all technologies and services offered.  

  • Collaborate with AHS’s Senior Directors to establish financial benchmarks, team advancement, and leading indicators to achieve AHS’s “Blue Dot” markers. 

  • Provide ideation for business development, marketing initiatives, and relationship building opportunities that will result in lead generation and pipeline growth for AHS 

  • Lead team members in a variety of functions including proposal generation, social media, analytics, and reporting in order to build a robust sales pipeline, supporting our account managers as they advance and close leads 

  • Maintain consistency of brand standards throughout collateral, communications, and media channels 

  • Be aware of, participate in, and be and Industry leading expert of market and industry trends, competitors, and leading/emerging technologies.  

  • Lead the team in developing promotions, excitement, and a pipeline of opportunities prior to major announcements. 

  • Drive cohesive, connected, and unified consumer experience across all customer verticals while developing and executing launch strategies for new market verticals. 

  • Develop best in class short- and long-term multi-year strategies to support AHS’ growth including the development and ownership of AHS’s annual marketing and business development budget. 

  • Develop and maintain visual content to support AHS’s website, business development, and AHS’s design/build “Go to Market” strategy. This includes the marketing team being an extension of the sales team to lead, connect with, create relationships, and assist with the development of complimentary customer content. 

  • Coach, train, develop, and lead team members in all aspects of marketing and business development 

  • Act as a liaison between research, engineering, processing teams, and business partners to understand requirements. To then translate that information into specific performance needs, and strengthen individual customer relationships, as well as new product development and production. 

  • Bring visibility to AHS by being active in thought leadership via white papers, industry conferences and/or article publications. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

 Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or other business-related degrees. 

  • Ten to fifteen years of relevant experience 

  • Successful record of accomplishment in senior marketing and business development roles. 

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. 

  • Expertise with various forms of digital and print marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing content management systems and design software, as well as automated analytics and communications. 

  • Established ability to listen to customers' needs, develop solutions to meet their requirements, and build trust and respect. 

  • Exhibited ability to transform a business into a market leader position through building relationships, securing strategic alliances, developing product line extensions that can be considered innovative/new products. 

  • Deep ability to combine extensive knowledge of AHS emerging technologies with respect to broad organizational focus that includes assimilating operating knowledge of company technology products, processing applications and manufacturing capabilities. 

  • Capability to quickly grasp the numerous variations and applications of AHS’s platform technology and convey their value to clients. 

  • Demonstrated knowledge of modern marketing management, brand management, distribution channels, product planning and sales forecast principles, methods, and practices. 

  • Ability to travel up to 20% or as needed; willing to work extended hours when necessary 

  • Without compromise, or exception, the successful Senior Director of Marketing and Business Development shall conduct all aspects of work at AHS at the highest level of integrity. 

Working Conditions: 

  • Working with computers for a long period of time. 

  • Sitting and/or standing for long periods of time. 

  • Most days are spent sitting in an office setting; temperature and atmospheric conditions fall within the normal range. 

  • Some days are spent continuously moving in environments with temperature ranges of below 0°F to above 90° F. 

  • Possible exposure to noise levels exceeding recommended DBA level. 

  • Exposure to various office noises such as computer, copier, conversation, and printer 

  • Exposure to industrial settings such as manufacturing plants, distribution centers, warehouses including coolers and freezers. 

  • Overnight travel is required
