Situation:
With JC Penney exiting the logistics business, Smith & Hawken, a premium provider of gardening products, had to act quickly to find a new partner. Their search ended when they met with Innotrac, Inc.
Within 18 weeks, Innotrac had to find a building, design the solution, and implement a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and a Materials Handling Equipment (MHE) system.
Solution:
Innotrac entered into a Design/Build contract with the Advanced Handling Systems Integration Group. Within two weeks, the team was able to finalize the design, locate a building, and begin the permit process.
AHS capitalized on its experienced engineering department, employing multiple project engineers to install, test, debug, and commission the multi-million dollar solution in just 14 weeks.
Result:
The installed system is performing as expected and will support the additional volumes as forecasted by Smith & Hawken.
